About Kat

Kat Lane is a indie/folk singer and songwriter from Boulder, Colorado. She grew up playing classical violin and taught herself guitar and piano at an early age. Kat spent most of her 20s guiding outdoor education programs for 18 year olds all over the world--living in Peru, Ecuador, Indonesia, Fiji, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and all over the Rockies. Kat feels deeply at home in the Colorado folk music scene in the musical community that permeates the Rocky Mountains. She is a firm believer that writing comes from experience, and the more life you live, the more music you make. Her songs are nostalgic, sprawling stories that let you into her world through her echoing voice and melodies.
